Prehistoric Day

Museum Hours: 9 am-noon

Quarry Hours: 10 am- 5 pm

Led by the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah. This is a day devoted to deep time. Join us at the Prehistoric Museum where staff will be in and amongst the exhibits answering questions and talking about what Utah was like during the Mesozoic - also known as the age of dinosaurs! From there swing by the observation lab to see volunteers working on fossils - and learn about how we safely excavate and preserve all the different types of fossils that come out of the hills in and around Carbon County.

In tandem with the events at the Prehistoric Museum, the staff at Jurassic National Monument will be welcoming visitors to the quarry and leading walks around the monument.
